A Blog Announcement and A Giveaway!

July 6, 2016 By Katie MacLeod 2 Comments

Reader survey giveaway prizes

July to me can sometimes feel like another January – a new beginning, of sorts. It heralds the height of a new season – hello summer! – and marks a mid-way point in the year where you can take stock of what’s gone before and look forward at what’s to come.

With those thoughts in mind, I decided it was time to try something new on Stories My Suitcase Could Tell:

the first ever reader survey!

I’ve spent nearly five years talking to you all, telling you all about my travels, my daily life, and my experiences as an expat in the USA.

But what I’ve never done is ask about you: who you are, and why you visit my little corner of the Internet. So now’s your chance!

Whatever you think of Stories My Suitcase Could Tell, I want to hear it all – the good, the bad, and the ugly. (Honestly, I want to know what you REALLY think.)

Your answers to this short questionnaire will help me find and write stories that you want to read, making the blog better for you as a reader.

And to make up for the five minutes I’m asking you to take out of your day, I’m doing a wee giveaway too!

Over the last few weeks I’ve been on the lookout for travel-themed goodies I could give you, and I settled on these: a passport-inspired notebook from Rifle Paper Co (aka my favourite stationery company), a ban.do luggage tag, and a fun Flying Tiger packing list set. It’ll make a quirky little summer holiday planning pack, plus you’ll get a personal thank you note from me.

The winner will be chosen at random from those of you who complete the survey and enter your contact details. If you want fill out the survey anonymously and stay out of the prize draw, that’s totally okay too.

So thank you in advance for your help – and thank you, as always, for reading my suitcase stories. It really does mean the world to me!

The survey and giveaway will close at midnight (EST) on July 31st, 2016.

The winner will be chosen randomly and notified via email on August 1st, and will need to claim the prize within seven days.

Just really wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your stories, your adventures, your turn of phrase, your island flavour and your enthusiasm for your adopted country. I’ll be an armchair traveller with you.
    Cheers
